Bob Ward, the proud owner of Big Bob’s Dig & Build based in Bellingham, WA, serving Whatcom and Skagit Counties, boasts a remarkable career spanning over three decades in the fields of excavation, fabrication and carpentry. Beyond his proficiency in traditional construction, Bob’s knack for fixing things extends to creative fabrication and custom repair solutions.
Bob’s journey in construction began early in life, fueled by a curiosity for how things worked and a determination to master every aspect of building and repair. He started working alongside his father as a fabricator, and rebuilding engines and other equipment in the small town of Cripple Creek, CO. Working alongside his dad is where he quickly fell in love with the art of building, creating and fixing things. Over the years, he has used those skills as a millwright, a heavy equipment operator, an NCCCO certified crane operator, and a mechanic.

Bob moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2017, and in 2024, after a little encouragement from his family and friends, Bob decided to turn his years of experience and passion into his own business. Big Bob’s Dig & Build provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of their clientele. From initial site excavation and preparation to carpentry, repair, remodel, custom fabrication and handyman services, Bob ensures each project reflects his commitment to excellence.
